About the organisation

Breast Cancer Care WA (BCCWA) is a WA charity funded entirely through donations and fundraising in the community. We provide personalised services such as specialist breast care nursing, counselling, practical and financial support to anyone diagnosed with breast cancer in WA, for as long as they need it – free of charge. 

About the role 

The Marketing Coordinator is crucial to Breast Cancer Care WA’s marketing efforts, focusing on producing high-quality visual content and ensuring brand consistency across all platforms. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with the marketing team to create compelling materials that align with our brand and campaign objectives and ensure all materials meet project objectives and deadlines. As the go-to person for design needs, you'll be key in bringing our campaigns to life, ensuring they resonate with our audience and drive engagement.

You’ll also play a significant role in the Living Well program, managing and creating content that highlights our services and engages our community. Your work will be essential in maintaining our brand’s integrity and supporting our mission through effective and impactful marketing.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design and Content Creation

  • Design and produce high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, social media graphics, and other visual assets that align with the brand’s visual identity.
  • Develop and maintain brand-aligned templates for various organisational needs, ensuring a consistent design across all platforms.
  • Manage and update the organisation's photo and video library, along with the media consent database, providing access to visual assets as needed.
  • Create and manage a library of marketing templates for use in presentations, email campaigns, social media posts, and other collateral.
  • Ensure all templates adhere to brand guidelines and can be easily customised for various campaigns.

Copywriting and Content Development

  • Write, edit, and proof read compelling copy for a variety of marketing channels, including websites, email campaigns, social media, and print materials.
  • Assist in generating content for newsletters, emails, and campaign press releases to keep stakeholders engaged and informed.

Marketing and Campaign Support

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure all marketing materials meet project objectives and deadlines.
  • Coordinate with external vendors or freelancers for specialised design or copywriting tasks as needed.
  • Provide essential marketing support by assisting in the planning and execution of various marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Ensure all marketing materials and communications adhere to the company’s style and language guides, maintaining a consistent tone and voice across all channels.
  • Provide guidance and training to the wider organisation on the correct use of brand style and language in their communications.
  • Support fundraising efforts by helping coordinate content across both social and traditional media outlets.
  • Track and report on the performance of marketing materials and campaigns, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in graphic design, copywriting, and digital marketing, implementing new strategies as appropriate.

Living Well Program Support

  • Act as the primary marketing contact for marketing support in relation to our Living Well program, creating engaging content and collateral
  • Edit and post Living Well content on shareable platforms, including webinar recordings.
  • Continuously seek to streamline processes and workflows, adopting a process improvement mindset.

Essential

  • Demonstrated graphic design skills and experience including the ability to understand, interpret and work to briefs and brand guidelines.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) and a strong understanding of design principles and brand alignment.
  • Proven ability to write, edit, and proof read compelling and error-free copy for various marketing channels, including websites, email campaigns, social media, and print materials.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels, including social media, email marketing, and content management.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and coordinate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure marketing materials meet project objectives.
