Description

Our client is a leading animation studio located in Sydney. They are looking for an experienced Senior Post Producer to lead some of their most high-profile productions.

As the ideal candidate you will have experience in both design and animation studio workflows, as well as the technical post-production of complex live-action shoots. You will lead individual projects and oversee our extensive studio and post-production team of editors, designers, motion graphics and 3D artists, composers and colourists, so knowledge and interest in these areas and management experience are essential to the role.

Our client is looking for someone who can lead, grow and streamline the post-production team and our systems, and help take them to the next level. This is an excellent role where you will have the opportunity to grow this position into a Head of Post Production role over time – therefore you will be an ambitious individual with a vision for the future.

Being based in Sydney, you will work with the wider team here and also closely with their LA and NTC teams.

This is a 5 day per week role, and you will be required to be on location for shoots, client meetings and travel as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively grow contacts and build relationships for future project demands
  • Maintain oversight of the projects coming in and out of post-production and what is needed for resourcing and workflow to produce the highest-quality work on time and on budget
  • Create and manage schedules and budgets for post-production, monitor timelines, and manage and reconcile costs
  • Negotiate changes to schedules and budgets as needed
  • Coordinate with EPs, producers, and post-production managers to book and schedule post-production team members
  • Communicate with clients and agencies to keep them updated on the status of projects
  • Proactively identify areas of internal support or processes that need development to better support projects and people
  • Lead or support projects from Post-Production to Delivery
  • Creative leadership and oversight in step with the creative directors, account leads and other producers
  • Budget management
  • Scheduling
  • Manage crew members to make deadlines on time. Maintain communication with larger teams around conflicts or adjusted expectations on projects
  • Oversee the execution of internal and client feedback within the Post team
  • Consistently problem-solve for the benefit of the project and team
  • Set-up and maintain digital spaces for project management and data management

For this role you will have:

  • Minimum 8 years experience Post-Producing
  • Creative Studio, Agency or Post-Production House experience
  • Experience supervising or managing post-production on commercials, episodic formats or features
  • Versatile experience working on briefs for varying industries and formats
  • Detailed knowledge of post-production processes including offline editing & online colour grading, visual effects, graphics, titling, captioning, mixing and mastering
  • Experience in the production of design assets, and various forms of animation, including motion graphics and 3D
  • Rudimentary ability to open and work within industry standard software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Has a strong sense of client services
  • A problem-solving mentality; have a creative and flexible approach to problem-solving
  • Collaborative; thrive off rallying a team to achieve great success
  • Exceptional communication skills beyond the usual; can master nuanced conversations, clear client communications and command both senior members of staff and team members

If you are looking for a next step role, where you will work with an amazing, supportive team – and have the opportunity to continue to learn and grow – along with a great remuneration and benefits package – this is the one for you.

Due to the volume of applications, we can only reply to candidates who are suitable for our current roles.
