Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Strategist to join Perth’s award winning and largest independent full-service creative advertising agency. Our independence sets us apart at Rare and allows us to put people at the heart of everything we do.
As the Strategist you will work directly with our Director of Strategy, and the wider agency to develop brand, comms and experience strategies that connect brands with people in meaningful ways.
Your Responsibilities can include:
- Write and deliver inspiring creative briefs based on solid observations and insights.
- Support senior strategists in developing brand platforms, comms frameworks, and customer journeys.
- Research cultural shifts, consumer behaviour and category trends to uncover actionable insights.
- Help evaluate effectiveness of ideas and campaigns to inform optimisation and learning.
- Collaborate with Rare’s Account, Creative, Media, and Production teams to bring strategies to life.
- Participate in workshops, client presentations and new business opportunities.
- Support and learn while mentoring juniors where needed.
About YOU
- A strategic thinker who combines logic and creativity. Someone who can analyse data and cultural signals, then translate them into ideas.
- Strong communicator: clear writer, confident presenter, and great collaborator.
- Naturally curious, with a finger on the pulse of culture, media and human behaviour.
- Comfortable managing your own projects and deadlines, while contributing as part of a team.
- Hungry to learn, grow, and help shape the future of Rare’s strategy offering.
Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in brand, comms, digital, or experience strategy (agency or client-side).
About US
- Join one of Australia’s most awarded and proudly independent agencies, with a culture built on collaboration, creativity and care.
- Be part of a growing Strategy team, with room to learn, progress and shape our offering.
- Work with a diverse portfolio of local, national and global clients.
- Values that align with our team - Be Good Humans, Find the Fun, Wonder More, Join Forces and Hunt Greatness.
- Heritage listed office building & city centre location, for convenience, comfort and to enable our high-performing team.
- We pride ourselves on building close and mutually respectful relationships with our amazing clients, locally, nationally and internationally.
- Member of the Advertising Council of Australia.
